Kansas City is having a ton of events this weekend! It’s time for you to catch what is going on with these five ideas for you, your friends and family. We hope some of these events inspire you to go and support your city!


1. HBA Greater Kansas City Home Show

The Kansas City Home Show has been going for 67 years. It is a great place to get ideas for your home and speak to vendors on what they can do to achieve your dream house. At this year’s show, Chip and Joanna Gaines, stars of HGTV’s “Fixer Upper,” will be speaking at the event Saturday! Hurry and get your tickets though as this show tends to sellout!

Tickets are $12 at the door and $7 for one day admission on Friday. Children 12 and under are free!

Expect an amazing performance with the welcoming of Matthew Morrison, an Emmy winner, Golden Glode and Tony nominated artist! He most recognized for his role as the high school glee club director Will Schuemester on the TV show “Glee.” Morrison will be performing Broadway hits from his latest album, “Where It All Began,” and Sinatra standards including “Luck Be a Lady” and “The Lady Is a Tramp.”

3. NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball National Championship

Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, 19100 E. Valley View Pkwy., Independence, MO 64055

Now in its 36th year overall, this is the second-straight year that Silverstein Eye Centers Arena will host the Championship. The competition will host 32 teams in a 31-game, single-elimination format. The field of participants includes 17 automatic qualifiers, one host berth and 14 at-large bids. 

Tickets are still available! Single-game tickets start as low as $6 per person and all-tournament passes begin at $78.50.

4. Sporting KC vs. Toronto FC

Leading the nationwide run alongside his DiverseCity Band, the multi-platinum selling artist will be joined by Britt Nicole, Colton Dixon, Building 429, Capital Kings, Finding Favour and Hollyn, promising a night of non-stop hit songs.
