Fourth of July Events in KC
Independence Day is this Saturday and if you’re not buying and shooting off fireworks of your own this year, here are a few venues where you can see them!
KC Riverfest
The KC Riverfest is the highlight Independence Day celebration in the area. Located on the Missouri riverfront, the celebration takes place at the Berkley Riverfront Park.
Where: Berkley Park on the River between the Heart of America and Paseo bridges.
When: July 4th from 4-11 p.m.
Tickets are $5, children 12 and under are free. Admission is FREE from 4 to 5 p.m.

Jackson County 4th of July Celebration
Longview Lake will have fireworks over the water and activities for the whole family. A water balloon contest, carnival games, and even skydivers to salute our troops are a list of a few events at the Jackson County event (No pets, grills or coolers please).
Where: Longview Lake Beach
When: Saturday, July 4. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. A free concert at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks around 9:30 p.m.

Parkville 4th of July Fireworks & Festival
Want an event that starts before the Fourth? Starting July 1st, Parkville brings a blend of traditional and historical backgrounds to their celebration. The old-fashioned Americana event features with a parade, carnival rides, food vendors, a pancake breakfast, and much more.
Where: Downtown Parkville, MO. Fireworks shot over Missouri River.
When: Firework display on Saturday, July 4, at 9:45 p.m.
Shuttle services from South Platte Community Center, Park University and Park Hill South High School.

Booms & Blooms Fest at Powell Gardens
Have plans Saturday? Enjoy a display of fireworks over a dazzling country sky at the Powell Gardens Boom & Blooms Fest. Activities include a walk through the garden, an edible landscape, live music and much more. The fireworks begin at night, but the events start early.
Where: Kansas City Botanical Garden
When: Events throughout the day on July 3, fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. (Rain date July 5).
Admission: Festival admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for children ages 5-12, Children under 5 years are free. Includes parking and all-day access to the trolley and Heartland Harvest Garden tram.

Worlds of Fun: Celebrate America in July
Worlds of Fun has one of the longest standing Fourth of July celebrations in the metro. Watch fireworks from within the park or by parking on the east side of I-435.
Where: Worlds of Fun
When: Fireworks shows will happen every Friday of the month of July and on Saturday, July 4 at 9:30 p.m.
Please Note: On July 4, Worlds of Fun Avenue will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. The pickup and drop off area will be moved to Oceans of Fun’s parking area and will be accessible to guests of both parks.
